As part of a fledgling grass-roots initiative between Australia and South-East Asia, Melbourne’s very own Carnation will be touring Singapore for a six-show stretch in late August with the Lion City’s favourite band, The Pinholes. Having just released their 2010 EP – 12.21.12 – Carnation are taking their intense psychedelic live show to international shores for the very first time.

With the EP’s first single – Gone – receiving great critical and commercial acclaim, Carnation has been a radio and television regular in Australia. Routinely playing to packed audiences in Australia’s biggest cities, as well as their home town of Melbourne, the band now become a fully-fledged international touring outfit at the invitation of the highly successful local group, The Pinholes.

Forming in 2007, Carnation has become a household name in Australia. Renowned for wowing audiences with their unique sound and raw live displays, the Melbourne quintet released their first EP in 2008 and have been touring the country non-stop ever since. Featuring roaring duelling guitars, rumbling bass and an animalistic percussionist, the icing on the cake is the accompanying baritone, steadying the ship and taking the listener on a mind-bending journey from start to finish.
